Openers: As Virat Kohli had made it clear that he is going to open this time along with Devdutt Padikkal, So we can say now this time they have a stable opening combination unlike last year where Arron Finch looked clueless completely, And we all know that when Virat Opens he has that ability to bat till last and as an opener, he can set the tempo of any chase from starting only, Addition to this he will be able to guide Padikkal to how to build an inning, he lacked this skill last time where he throws his wicket after getting good start's, so I'm excited to see this opening combination how it works, cause on papers it is looking superb. And Addition to this they have a backup of Fin Allen who is a good attacking opener from NZ, and we have seen what he can do in the match against Bangladesh
2.AB de Villiers: Yes, what you are seeing is right ABD is mentioned as one of the strengths of this side, from past several years he is the one who is fighting for this team single handily, some people will disagree with me by saying Virat to contribute, but the truth is leaving the season of 2016, ABD is the one who carried the batting of this team lonely on his shoulders, 2016 qualifier match of RCB vs SRH is the proof of this statement, if we make a percentage chart of RCB's batting contribution then ABD will occupy 65% of it, If RCB wants to qualify for this season then ABD will have to continue his legacy of Leading RCB's Batting Lineup

Spin Attack: like every year, their bowling is still mainly dependent on their spinners, They seriously have a bunch of good spinners of different-different skill sets, like Washington Sundar can bowl well in Power-Play, Yuzi Chahal has done P.hd in taking crucial wickets at crucial moments of the match, they also have Adam Zampa who have a reputed name in international circuit in the spin department, in addition to this they got one more talented spinner Shahbaz Ahmed, yeah we have seen what he can do with a bowl in the match against RR last year. And Forgot not they have Maxwell too, who can be handy with his off-spin in middle overs.
Weaknesses:-
1. Fast Bowlers: If we look into their fast bowling department they got Navdeep Saini, MD. Siraz, Harshal Patel, Daniel Sams, Kane Richardson, Kyle Jemison, and Daniel Christian. Among them, 2 between Navdeep, Siraz, and Harshal will start, the problem is Siraz and Saini are more suited to Test-Matches because of their line and length and Harshal lacks experience. And if we see their foreign slots then they will be relaxed a little bit cause they have Christian and Richardson who are good in slow pitches and RCB will play their maximum matches in slow pitches of Chennai and Delhi, but still, they can only play 1 of them because Kyle Jemison will start sure slot because of his high price and batting skills, This makes their Fast bowling Department little weak overall, and the main reason of it is that they have let go Chris Morris in Auction
2. Middle Order: Despite having ABD their middle-order looks weak this season too, if Virat opens and ABD at 3 then they will play Maxwell and Azharuddin at 4 and 5, and one among Kyle Jemison and Daniel Christain at 6 and Sundar at 7, Now if you analyze this you will find out a lot of problems, first Maxwell can't be trusted, he can win you 2 out 14 matches only or else if he has a season like 2014 then RCB will surely go in Finals, Second Lack of Experience because MD Azharuddin who will most probably play in the middle order is yet to play his first match in IPL and not only this he is an opener in domestic cricket, it will be completely different for him to adapt in middle-order, And Jemison and Christian are yet to be proved in IPL And Washington Sundar is also more suited in Top-order not in No 7, He lacks to provide FirePower in end, Overall Their Middle-Order lacks Experience and some Fire-Power in the end.

3. Glen Maxwell: He will be the most important player if RCB has to win this year, Not only with the bat he can provide some overs with the bowl also , He can be the MVP of this team
Tournament Prediction
Ok, If we go through their team we will see a lot of if's and but's like Virat Kohli should bat till last as an opener, Glen Maxwell solves their middle-order problem and provides the firepower which they lack, Yuzvendra Chahal should come out off his bad form and fast bowlers should not concede a lot of runs in death over's, To be honest, if a Team has a lot of if's and but's, that team doesn't finish in Top 4, but if all the if's become successful then they will not only qualify for play-off's they will reach in Finals also.
If you look they will play most of their matches in slow pitches of Chennai and Delhi, that's where the main problem is because they made the team by keeping the track of Chinnaswamy in mind, they bought Maxwell also by keeping Chinnaswamy's short boundaries in mind, but now it will be tough for him to play in slow pitches. But they have good spinners and by playing Zampa and Chahal together along with Sundar they can still fight if they get help from the rest of the team, Otherwise, it is looking like that they are going to have a tough time ahead
My prediction is that they will finish at 6th Spot,
